Our team
Fourth Wave is deliberately small. The person you talk to is the person doing the work, and they are still reachable years after a project ships. For specialist work we bring in people we’ve worked alongside for years — never a bench you’ve never met.
David Norris
Owner · LinkedIn
David founded Fourth Wave in October 2003 and has been building and optimizing websites since the late 90s. For nine of those early years he was also Chief Technologist at House of Antique Hardware, an online retailer — running the network, the SEO and web team, and a great many NetSuite customizations.
That matters more than it sounds. He has been the client: the person who has to live with the platform decisions, the integrations and the customizations long after the consultants have moved on. It is why Fourth Wave builds the way it does.
The part clients tend to appreciate late is the avoidance of foreseeable problems. Careful planning and proper requirements gathering keep surprises out of the middle of a project; documenting the work keeps it maintainable for years afterwards.
David owns the company and stays close to every project, which is why clients know they can call him directly — and that he can pick a project back up years later without needing to be reintroduced to it. He runs the client relationships and the commerce and web practice.
Renee Chandler, CPA (inactive)
NetSuite Accounting and Operations Consultant
Renee spent twenty-six years as a finance executive, most of them as a CFO, before she started consulting. She has run NetSuite since 2008, including moving acquired companies from QuickBooks into NetSuite OneWorld and integrating their accounting and operations.
She holds an MBA in Accounting and Computer Information Systems, summa cum laude.
At Fourth Wave she leads the finance and accounting practice: full-cycle NetSuite development, administration and reporting for manufacturing, distribution, audio equipment and waste and recycling clients. Recent work includes bringing a stalled implementation to a clean reconciled position after NetSuite Professional Services left it, intercompany transfer automation across four subsidiaries, a live-refreshing month-end close package from NetSuite into Excel, full-lifecycle outbound serial capture without native serialized inventory, and a config-driven approval framework with an approval portal.
That combination is the point. Plenty of consultants can configure the system; far fewer have signed the financial statements of the company running it. It is why the analysis goes deeper than a configuration exercise, and why the finance work lands correctly the first time.
