RefurbFlow

Refurbishment tracked all the way through, including the parts a repair gives back.

NetSuite has no model for refurbishment. Units come back, get repaired, and go out again, and the cost and inventory trail falls apart somewhere in the middle.

RefurbFlow runs refurb through work orders and assembly builds, from receipt through repair, QC, labeling and back to stock. When a repair swaps a part, the part that came out gets recorded too. Work orders won’t accept negative component quantities, so without this the displaced part is untracked unless somebody keys a manual adjustment.

What it does

  • A Record Parts Yielded button on refurb work orders, return authorizations and item receipts
  • Yielded parts post into a QC quarantine bin, visible and searchable but out of available-to-promise until somebody decides what to do with them
  • A guard against recording the same part twice across the RMA, receipt, sales order and work order
  • Works across subsidiaries and locations
  • Refurb dashboard, label printing and mark-failed handling
  • Serialized and lot-tracked items are out of scope for the yield feature
